Welcome to the FRCC 'Blog'!

Latest news and info from Fowey Camera Club.

Weds 3rd Oct: Change to programme as Nick was unable to attend. Played with our camera controls, using White Balance, Colour Controls, filters, live view focusing, etc.

Weds 26th Sept: Start of our 2018-19 season. Nice to see everyone again and some new faces. Everyone brought some of their Panoramas they had taken over the summer, which were judged by club members. Results at next meeting.

Sun 9th Sept: Several of us visited the Lanlivery Vintage Rally. Raising money for local charities, it had lots going on. One of us had some 'help' with our photography.

Thur 2nd Aug: A couple of us plus family members went up in a hot air balloon over Cornwall. Wow! Fabulous views, and might have taken one or two photos! What a super trip.

Fri 27th July: Blood Moon: Unexpected meeting of several FRCC members on Hanson Drive, over-looking Polruan. Great minds think alike, or fools seldom differ? Unfortunately, despite all our wishing, the cloud cover stayed put, so we didn't see the eclipse of the moon. Shame.

Photo from 2 nights ago. Mars and Saturn visible as well.

Photo from tonight! Dratted clouds and rain!

Fri 27th July: Several FRCC members met up at Boconnoc Steam Fair. So much to photograph and enjoy.

Sun 15th July: Our thanks to Paul for taking us 'up river' to Lerryn and Lostwithiel in his boat. We occasionally forget just what a beautiful place we are lucky enough to live in. Calm, peaceful, a joy to look at, with good friends ... and our cameras! One of those special times in life.

Mon 9th July: Evening club outing to Widemouth Bay. Gorgeous sunset, and thought we really ought to try the beer afterwards: it was lovely!

Thurs 28th June: Evening club outing to Charlestown. Motion shots of people jumping off the pier into the water, panoramas, and mono's. Full moon failed to make an appearance... we know it's up there somewhere!

Weds 27th June: Evening club outing to Minions and the Hurlers. Sunset and moon-rise photos. Had to check the beer in the pub after: it was fine!

Thurs 24th May: FRCC outing to Bovey Tracey to view the WCPF Members Exhibition. And there in the car park was Truro CC! Super photos on display, then we went east to Canonteign Falls. These are the highest falls in England and was a lovely walk up through the woods. Photo shows just half of the falls: couldn't fit it all in! Then we went for a drive across Dartmoor and who should we meet in all those miles of moorland: Truro CC! A good time was had by all.

Tues 15th May: Congratulations to Janet Collins who won a 'Highly Commended' at this years CPA Annual competition, with her "Rhesus Macaque". (See it in our exhibition). Taken in the wild.
